The Home of Lässig Walk

With its 1,700 m of elevation gain, 5 summits and approximately 22 km, the Home of Lässig Walk is a hike for experienced and fit summiteers. Here you’ll experience pure nature, without any bike trails and lifts.

From Lengau parking lot it’s a leisurely walk to Lindlingalm. Here you turn off to the left after about 200 m uphill and cross the Birgl to Schusterscharte wind gap. At the wind gap keep to the right and follow the steep path across Mittagskogel Mountain up to Teufelssprung summit at 2,174 m. Then continue across the range to Gamshag at 2.178 m. From Gamshag start descending to the right – heading south-east – to beautiful Lake Hochtorsee. At the lake take a sharp left and follow the steep path up to Tor saddle, 1,933 m. From here, continue steeply uphill to Tristkogel summit at 2,095 m and back down again on the other side secured by ropes. A head for heights and surefootedness are required here!

From Saaljoch, 1,875 m, it’s a leisurely walk up to Saalkogel at 2,006 m and continuing to Oberreiter Saddle at 1,903 m. From here you can also walk to Satffkogel at 2,115 m with wonderful views, before – back at Oberreiter Saddle again – making your way down to Lindlingalm and hike out to Lengau.

Good tour planning with sufficient provisions and water in your backpack is an absolute requirement for this hike, because there are no serviced lodges along the trail.
