The Schönleitenbahn takes you to lofty heights and after a short ride you are in the middle of the 270 kilometer ski area. Saalbach is known as the Home of Casual. The most casual skiing area in the Alps! In addition to perfectly groomed slopes of varying difficulty, there are floodlit slopes, snow parks, speed tracks and much more to experience.

Since the ticket association ALPIN CARD with the neighboring regions Schmitten in Zell am See and the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun, there's an incredible 408 kilometers of slopes, 121 lifts and nearly 100 huts and mountain restaurants to explore. And when the day comes to an end, you can ski right back down — almost to the doorstep. Just cross the street, and you’ll be back at your cozy vacation retreat in no time!

The deep snow slopes are mostly easily accessible. Nevertheless, for your own safety you should inform yourself in advance about the current conditions at ski schools and mountain guides.

Those who go off-piste are solely responsible for their own safety. Preparation for skiing in open terrain for freeriders of all ages and skill levels can be obtained, among others, from the Heugenhauser Ski School in Vorderglemm, located directly across from the hotel.
